The beginning of our love story…
Matthew is from Brooklyn, NY and I am from Queens, NY. We met through friends in 2010 at a hockey game. Matt took my number at a bar after the game, called the next day and we had dinner two days after that. After dating for a year and a half we took a trip to Paris, a city I have always wanted to visit. On the first night after a dinner at a beautiful restaurant, Matthew took me by total surprise and proposed on the Pont des Arts bridge. With the sun setting behind Eiffel Tower, I said yes! It was a trip we will never forget.
Why did you choose the Westmount Country Club?
Stefana had been there twice before for weddings and absolutely fell in love with everything- the decor, the service and especially the incredible food. When we started planning the wedding I knew we had to go check it out. After looking at several other venues, our experience at the Westmount Country Club was unlike anywhere else we had gone to visit. Matthew loved the Westmount just as much as I did. The updated, modern decor was just our style and they really saw our vision for our big day. Anthony was so welcoming, helpful and we immediately felt at ease there. Along the whole way, the entire staff was so helpful, they made planning so easy!
Do you have one or more memorable moments you would like to share?
Our whole wedding day was memorable! Being surrounded by our friends and family during our ceremony and reception was the best memory of all.
Our first dance and dances with my father and Matt’s mother were so emotional, the love was radiating in the whole room. After we cut our delicious cake, Matt and I did a second dance where we just had fun. It was one of the highlights of the night and once we finished our dance our family and friends surrounded us in a big group hug.
How was your experience with Lighthouse Photography?
Having Lighthouse Photography shoot our wedding pictures was one of the BEST decisions we made for the day of!
From the minute we walked into their beautiful studio in Port Jefferson we knew we had to go with them. Monica was so kind and welcoming and their photography blew us away. Florio and his team made our wedding day so enjoyable and they really captured all the emotions we felt. Every moment of the day was beautifully documented for us to keep forever.
