Palermo Bakery has grown into a thriving retail/wholesale operation, with a specialty in wedding cake design.

They pride ourselves on being a family business being managed by both first and second generation Brunos. Their entire staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality of customer service and baked products.

This Bakery currently serves in New Jersey, New York City, Eastern Pennsylvania, & Western Connecticut. But will do long distance deliveries upon special request. Their retail stores are located in Ridgefield Park, Union City, Little Ferry, Fair Lawn, Wyckoff, and RiverVale, NJ.

What makes your products and/or service offerings unique, interesting, or valuable?

We follow trends, listen to clients but at the same time keep our traditional designs and we don’t sacrifice the taste and flavor just to have a beautiful cake.

Describe your company’s founding and history

Palermo Bakery was first started by Giovanna and Gennaro Bruno, better known as Joanne and Jerry. They offered a full assortment of traditional baked goods and Italian desserts in their small retail shop in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Joanne managed the store while Jerry, an experienced baker since the age of fourteen, took the title of head baker and cake decorator. Shortly after opening, they began a small wholesale operation where they delivered, sometimes themselves, cakes and pastries to local restaurants and catering facilities. They have now expanded to six successful location and continue to expand their wholesale operation.

Palermo’s vision is to provide the best customer service, product quality, and value for money. Become the “go to bakery” for all baked good needs while focusing on our wedding cake line because that’s where we really grew our business. As we build relationships with our future brides, we value their continued business with future events such as baby showers, religious holidays, and birthdays!

Daring Designs For Any Taste

Have a specific design that you have always dreamed of on your wedding cake? This beautiful four tier fondant wedding cake has the perfect design for each tier!

A white fondant base with white fondant lattice quilt design on the first, second, and top tier, adding the perfect texture. As a trim on the bottom and top, a metallic gold fondant leaf was added to the entire cake.

A customized key lock was hand sculpted out of metallic gold fondant to add the perfect accent.

To incorporate the colors of the wedding, fresh flowers were inserted between each tier to add height and create a perfect wedding cake!As a perfect finish to this beautiful wedding cake, a hand-sculpted white gum-paste flower with a metallic gold interior was added to the top of the cake to add the perfect amount of elegance.

Wedding Cakes Fit For a King or Queen

Want metallic colors incorporated into your wedding cake? No problem whether it is accents or the whole cake Palermo’s Bakery will exceed your wildest dreams. This beautiful wedding cake is absolutely pure perfection!

Using a full silver fondant base and adding the white damask design to the entire tier. White fondant floral rosettes on the second tier to add the perfect amount of texture. Silver sequins on the third tier to add the perfect amount of dazzle.

Adding the final touches with a silver fondant base and hand sculpted gum-paste peonies on the top and side of this wedding cake.This five layers beautiful white buttercream base wedding cake has very fine intricate scrollwork cascading down each layer.

The perfect amount of metallic gold accents added to each tier with the bottom layer with full metallic gold floral fondant accents to make the perfect wedding cake.

To add it’s final touches to this beauty, light pink, blush, and white hand sculpted gum-paste roses were added to cascade around the entire wedding cake.
