Ray and Kristen first met in August 2008 as a college freshman at Rutgers University. It was move-in day and Ray was eager to meet girls after 4 years at an all-boys high school. A small group gathered at Davidson dorms, where Kristen and Ray talked for hours. They became friends, but Ray always knew he wanted more. It took a year for Ray and Kristen to go on their first date in October 2009. The movie was terrible, but Kristen claims that Ray won her over when he opened her car door like a gentleman. Who knew it was that easy?
Ray proposed to Kristen on September 5, 2015 after nearly 6 years of dating. To keep the proposal a surprise, Ray told Kristen that he had won dinner for two through a golf contest. Kristen was completely surprised when Ray proposed by the pretty gazebo outside the restaurant. To celebrate their engagement, Ray had also planned a hot air balloon ride, which was so much fun!
Why did you choose the Westmount? It was by far the nicest place that we saw. We immediately were amazed at how beautiful the decor was and the food was incredible.
Memorable moment? For our first dance, we took dance lessons. Neither of us were good dancers to start, but we actually learned to do a pretty cool dance and we had a ton of fun! It was one of the few things for the wedding that felt like it was just for us.
How was ur experience with Off BEET Productions? Amazing! We felt so comfortable with them and they really capture the emotion of the day. Kate spent a lot of time before the wedding looking for a good location for our first look and it was perfect.
