Engagement photo shoots are very important to consider when getting married. Having a photographer who gets you is even more important. We recently sat down with Lauren Kearns and talked with her about her photography business and the lovely Bride and Groom-to-be!
What would my engagement photoshoot be like at Westmount Country Club if I hired you?
Most importantly, your photo session would be fun! I love engagement sessions because it gives us a chance to get to know each other.
I learn so much about you as individuals and a couple, but more importantly, this session gives you an opportunity to learn about my style of shooting. I love to combine your personalities and style with specific posing basics to make sure that your pictures are authentic while looking your absolute best!
Tell us more about Lauren Kearns Photography
Our mission is to create stunning, timeless photographs that balance artistic expression, authentic emotions and beautiful images.
We believe in romance, hand-written letters, and memories that endure.
Great wedding photographs go far beyond just having any photographer. It takes feeling comfortable with someone who is going to be there when you start your journey into marriage! There is so much that will happen on your wedding day. It’s going to fly by, and some of the details, you may never see (like the flower girl making it only halfway down the aisle before running to her Dad!)At each wedding, my team and I are capturing the moments that are carefully planned (and unplanned!) so that you can relive the joyous day for years to come. It is my joy and privilege to be invited into the lives of so many amazing brides and grooms!
Can you tell us about Stephanie & Brian’s engagement session?
I had been Stephanie’s photographer for her athletic-wear company for years. When she got engaged, she was so excited about planning her wedding and had these great plans to have a secret Great Gatsby themed wedding. She wanted her engagement photos to fit the theme without giving away what her wedding day theme would be for her guests.
We met at Westmount Country Club (where she would also have her wedding) on a beautiful 60 degree November day and had the place to ourselves!
I wanted to make sure we were incorporating elements of the Westmount Country Club that really pulled together her theme and style, which meant we used a number of the rooms and elements that were available in this space. Stephanie and Brian were amazing subjects and pulled the poses off flawlessly. In the end, they used their images in a vintage-styled newspaper “Save-the-date” complete with sepia-toned images!
Congratulations Stephanie and Brian on your engagement! We look forward to having you at The One and Only Westmount Country Club to celebrate your wedding day!
